Terms of Service
Last updated: July 7, 2026
1. The service
Vektrip is a trip-planning application: it stores the trips you build, presents information you and your tools entered or that we retrieve from public data sources, and lets you share and export it. You can use it entirely by hand or connect an AI assistant (such as Claude) via the Model Context Protocol; either way, no change is applied to a trip without your explicit approval.
2. Information, not advice — and never a religious authority
Vektrip is deliberately informational, not authoritative. It displays facts — for example, raw sunrise and sunset times from a public astronomical data source — and it never computes zmanim, renders halachic rulings, or asserts religious facts. Cautions shown by the app are prompts to verify with qualified local sources; they are questions, not answers. You are solely responsible for all travel, financial, and observance decisions, including confirming any high-stakes detail (eruv status, kosher availability, mikvah access, timing) with your rabbinic authority and the local community. Content produced by a connected AI assistant is that assistant’s output, not ours, and requires the same verification.
3. Your account
You need an account to plan trips; keep your sign-in method secure and don’t share access credentials. You’re responsible for activity under your account, including apps you connect over MCP (you can revoke them any time in Settings). You must be legally able to enter these terms in your jurisdiction.
4. Your content
Trips, constraints, notes, and contacts you save remain yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, display, export, and share them — only as you direct (e.g. share links you create, exports you download). You can export your data and delete your account, including your solely-owned trips, from Settings at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t abuse the service: no unauthorized access attempts, no scraping other users’ data, no circumventing rate limits or share-link protections, no unlawful content, and no use of the APIs beyond their documented purpose.
6. Third-party data and services
Sunrise/sunset and geocoding results come from third-party public APIs; authentication and storage run on managed infrastructure. We pass through such data verbatim and don’t warrant its accuracy, and those providers’ availability is outside our control.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on displayed information, AI-proposed content, or third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use means acceptance. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
9. Contact
