Terms of Service

1. The service

Vektrip is a trip-planning application: it stores the trips, bookings, fare options, bucket list, places, household and travel dates you build, presents information you and your tools entered or that we retrieve from public data sources, and lets you export it. You can use it entirely by hand or connect an AI assistant (such as Claude) via the Model Context Protocol; a connected assistant acts under your account with the permissions you granted on the consent screen, and you can revoke it at any time.

2. Information, not advice

Vektrip presents information. Zmanim, the Hebrew calendar and holiday names are retrieved from Hebcal (hebcal.com) for the coordinates and dates you entered and shown as-is; cover photographs are looked up on Wikipedia by name and may show the wrong place; opening hours, kosher status, addresses, prices and similar details are whatever you or a connected assistant saved. A booking in Vektrip is a record you made, not a reservation we hold, and a saved fare option is a snapshot, not a live price. None of it is a ruling or advice. You are solely responsible for all travel, financial and observance decisions, including confirming any detail that matters (eruv status, kosher availability, mikvah access, times, a hold’s expiry) with the provider, your rabbinic authority and the local community. Content produced by a connected AI assistant is that assistant’s output, not ours, and requires the same verification.

3. Your account

You need an account to plan trips; keep your sign-in method secure and don’t share access credentials. You’re responsible for activity under your account, including apps you connect over MCP (you can revoke them any time in Settings). You must be legally able to enter these terms in your jurisdiction.

4. Your content

Email you forward to a Vektrip address is your content too: forward only mail you are entitled to share, and understand that its text is stored (redacted) for a limited time and processed by the providers named in the Privacy Policy to extract booking facts. Extraction is automated and can be wrong; the booking it produces is yours to check and correct, and a deadline Vektrip derives from a policy is a prompt to verify, not a guarantee.

Destinations, places, trips, bookings, notes, household entries, travel dates and the images you link remain yours, and you are responsible for having the right to use any image URL you save. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, display and export them, only as you direct (for example to co-travelers you add, or exports you download). You can export your data and delete your account, including your bucket list and solely-owned trips, from Settings at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t abuse the service: no unauthorized access attempts, no scraping other users’ data, no circumventing rate limits, no unlawful content, and no use of the APIs beyond their documented purpose.

6. Third-party data and services

Inbound mail is handled by Cloudflare and extraction by Anthropic’s API, each under its own terms; the Privacy Policy says what each receives. Deadline-alert emails and sender-verification codes are the only mail Vektrip sends.

Sunrise and sunset times, geocoding results and cover photographs come from third-party public APIs (Hebcal, Open-Meteo, Wikipedia); map tiles come from OpenStreetMap; authentication and storage run on managed infrastructure. We pass such data through verbatim and don’t warrant its accuracy, and those providers’ availability is outside our control.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on displayed information, a missed deadline, AI-proposed content, or third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use means acceptance. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
